can you stop desktop alert fading away

I have outlook 2003. on the previous version the desktop alert (called
notification) only disappeared when you opened the email. the new version
fades away after only 30 seconds and I want it to stay on the screen until I
open the email

Tools...options...preferences...email-email options...advance email
options...desttop alert settings...then set it to how long you want it to
appear.

It's not "just like old times" (ie; Outlook 2000), but it will make
Outlook 2003 hang around for longer than 30 seconds....
