Can you strike through text in PowerPoint like you can in Word?

No, there is no native strike-thru text in PowerPoint.

However, the appearance of strike-thru text can be imported or faked. You
can fake strike-thru by adding a line over top of the text. You can import
it by Copying the formatted text in Word and Special pasting it into
PowerPoint as a word object.

Paste Special --
Edit -> Paste Special -> Paste (button) -> Microsoft Word Document Object
