Can you Subtract dates?

Hi Gurus,

Is it possible in Excel to subtract 2 dates and get the result in
either net days or years?

EG:
A1= 01/01/2000
A2= 06/01/2004

A1 - A2 = 4.5 years

Is there a way to do this?

Just subtract the dates and format the result as a number instead of a
date to get the difference in days. For other units, use the DATEDIF()
function
