Can you use an Access2002 mdb in Access2000?

Is it possible to open an MDB, made with Access2002, in Access2000? Most
articles that I read about it say that the mdb's between the two versions of
Access are binary compatible. However, when I try to open the 2002 database
in Access2000, I get an 'unrecognized format' error.

By default, Access 2002 uses the same format as Access 2000. There is,
however, an optional new Access 2002 format. If you have used that format,
you will not be able to open the MDB in Access 2000. Access 2002 can,
however, convert to the earlier format.

See Tools, Options, Advanced, Default File Format to determine which format
your installation of Access is using, and see Tools, Database Utilities,
Convert Database for the conversion feature.

I do work with Access 2000 and Access XP 2002. I open the
database from Wind. 2002 to 2000, in that case it doesn't
ask you for converting as it converts automatically, but
you have to change the References that you are using for
running VBA codes and so. (some of the references are
different from 2000 in 2002) If you don't change, would
give you error message for sure.
