Cancel button for cell

Has the cancel button (red "X") disappeared?

If I start to change a formula then realize I am changing the wrong cell, there is no cancel option that I can find. The "undo" button only causes the last typing to revert.

Yes, the red X has disappeared. Use the ESC key.
