Cannnot delete an email message in inbox

We are using Outlook 2000 with an Exchange 2000 server.
I have a user that tries to delete a message and receives
an error labeled "unknown error". If she tries to move
the message she receives " can't move the item(s). The
item could not be deleted. It was either moved or
already deleted or access denide". I have checked
Microsoft's web site and I found a few issues, but none
of the solution repired the issue. The server logs have
went through their cycles many times and the Exchange
server has been restarted. Has anyone run into this
issue and how did you solve it? Thanks

Try selecting the message, then clicking on Shift+ Delete.

I tried that. No luck. I may try archiving the message
and see if it goes away.
