Cannot Accept/Decline/add calendar invitations sent from Windows/Mac users ...

When I receive a calendar invitation, Entourage 2004 recongnizes the
item as an invitation and displays the correct event details (date,
recurrence, etc.) However, the Accept/Decline/Tentative buttons are
grayed out and I cannot add the event to my calendar. Any thoughts on
why this happens?

MacOS 10.4.7
Entourage 2004 11,2,5
