Cannot access old info after reinstalling

I had to reinstall office. After doing so I "opened" the
pst file but the inbox, and contacts are not there. (I
do not use the calander) Any ideas?

Perhaps there is more than one .pst file on your system? Sounds like you might have been looking at an archive, rather than your main .pst file.
