Cannot access Outlook - error detected in file outlook.pst

duck.37

I notice yesterday I could not delete one email, said there was an error
detected in file. I tried the Inbox diagnose through Help tab..no such issues
(so I read). Now I cannot get on Outlook to open, I get an error box shows up
saying:
"Cannot start Microsoft Ofice Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The
set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file.
C:....\Outlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-enbabled applications, and then
use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the
file. For more information about the Inbox repair tool, see Help."

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have had my fair share of issues with Outlook since we use it on 9 Desktops
in a share environment. BUT rarely have I found one that could not be solved
by running the Repair or Add or Remove Feature application including .pst
(personal storage table) and .ost file issues.

If you have not tried this it is

Start/Control Panel/Program and Features/Microsoft Office 2007/Repair OR Add
or Remove Feature

I have used both options to solve issues in the past and it rarely lets me
down

Office Diagnostics do not run the Inbox Repair Tool. You must run that while
Outlook is closed. Exactly how is version-specific and you decided mentioning
your Outlook version wasn't important.
