Hi Jen,

If you have a prior version of MS Office, use that choice in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control panel. Once in that Office
product 'change' mode, set Outlook in the features list to be 'Not Available' state, restart the PC then change Outlook 2007 from
the Office 2007 choice to 'run from my PC'.

(Always backup your files before making changes to your configuration).

=============
Okay, I read that you have to uninstall Outlook before outlook 2007 will
load. What do I do if it is not listed in my control panel, add and remove
programs. It does show outlook express, which I use, but not outlook 2003
which I also use. Where do I go from here? >>

Do I have to uninstall the current Offce 2007 and re-download or Do I have
to make Office 2003 unavailable through Control panel? I am stuck!

hi Jen,

No, you do not. Are you using a firewall/privacy/security product? If so, it may not be set to allow the activation program to
access the internet.

I have just purchased a new PC which came with Vista and Bullguard
preloadedand, the Office Proffessional 2007 came separately on discs. No
problem loading but cannot get it to activate. Is there a clash with Vista
and/or Bullguard. I also use Windows mail which I believe is the
replacement for Outlook Express does this create a problem with Outlook 2007

Usually a PC comes with all software preloaded, including Office.
What exactly does it say on the disks with regard office.
If you open Word, what does it say in Help About with regard Word?

Windows Mail does not cause any problems with outlook, though if you only
use Mail, updates for office will often reset the default mail handler to
Outlook.

Hi Marina,

It would depend on your security/firewall product. The settings vary by brand. You do have to use the online activation method as
phone activation isn't supported for trial products from Microsoft.

Hi Bob,

As per your statement below how do l activate it.

Cheers
