Cannot apply update KB957789

Hello,

My PC is set for automatic updates, and has been trying for the last week to
apply update KB957789 (for a PowerPoint vulnerability). The error code every
time is 8007066F. When I click "Get help with this error", I don't get any
useful information. I have also tried several manual restarts with no
success. Other updates in the last week have applied successfully.

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop PC with a dual core processor, 2GB RAM,
320GB hard drive with lots of available space. I have Windows Vista Ultimate
SP1, and Office Enterprise 2007 SP1.

Does anyone have any ideas what error code 8007066F means? Or any other
advice on how to get this update to apply? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

So far from the Windows Update NG - "No detection" and
"Error 8007066F".

Suggest you reinstall or repair Office (make sure you have your product key
just in case)

Hello,

I have tried to repair Office, but there is no "repair" option in control
panel. So I did a complete backup and tried to uninstall office. The
process started, but didn't get very far and it stopped. There was a
message: "Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 uninstall did not complete
successfully." Office programs still seem to work, but I am still stuck.
Does anyone have any additional ideas?

Thanks,
Dan
