Cannot attach files to out going e-mail in Outlook 2000

When I attempt to attach my resume' to outgoing e-mail in Outlook I
recieve the following message "Can't create file:XXXX.XXX
Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click
Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the
folder." I'm running windows 2000 and I have made sure that all file
permissions are set properly. Any ideas would be helpful.
