We have found that if the computer name is different than the windows
account name that there is trouble logging in to PWA from the client. You
might check your server url in the collaboration options, it should read
something like this:
http://ls170prj/projectserver/
When we added the / on the end of the address it worked even though the
computer name was different. Also, be sure that the "Remember this Password"
box is checked in the windows logon screen so that your authentication
happens automatically. If those two things don't work, you can try renaming
the user in Project Pro to match the windows account name, and/or rename the
computer to match the windows account name.

I have a Project Server 2003 installation on a single box. Everything
works great except when attempting to use Windows Authentication from
Project Pro to connect to the server. I get an unable to connect error. The
connection works fine if I use Project Server authentication and PWA works
fine with Windows authentication. The site is trusted.
