Outlook 2002 SP-2, all patches per MS update check. Dell I8500 laptop P4
I have a problem with McAfee interfering with Outlook and a Mcafee Tech
Support guy suggested that I increase the server timeout (it is set by
default to 1 minute). I don't think this is going to help my problem with
Mcafee, but when I changed the setting, saved, and closed outlook, the
setting is unchanged (still the default 1 minute) when I went back into
advanced properties. I also tried checking SSL, closing outlook, and
reopening. That setting came up unchecked (the default).
Here are my clicks and key strokes from the Outlook Window:
Tools|Send /Receive Settings|Define Send/Receive Groups|Edit|Account
Properties|Advanced
Change settings, click OK all the way back, and close Outlook. Re-open
outlook, back to the advanced tab and nothing has changed.
This would indicate a possible general problem with my OL install?
Any advise would be appreciated.
