Cannot connect to project server.

Hi all,

My problem:
Test connection after adding project server account using the "Test
Connection" button.
Cannot connect to Project server when starting the Project Server in a PC.
However, it works in another PC with the same setting and same account.

Environment:
Project Server 2003 EN,
Project Pro 2003 EN,
Using Windows user account.

Thanks Paul,

The is a brand new PC. So Project Pro hasn't ever connected to Project
Server on this machine.
Used the MDAC Component Checker and found out that the MDAC version is 2.7.
Then, upgraded the MDAC to 2.8.

How ever the problem still exist after upgrading MDAC.

The following error message pops up when starting up Project Pro:

Cannot Connect

Project was unable to establish a connection with the selected Project
Server. This could be caused by a loss of network connection ...

It's straight that the result is positive with the "test connection" button.

Any idea?

The connection issue sovled after installing Project SP2 and adding the
codepage setting in the registry according to
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;328958

However, when openning enterprise project in this PC, following error
message popped up:
there was a problem exporting some of the data.
Project is unable to create one or more of the destination tables in the
database. Check for spaces or other prohibited characters in the table and
column names, and that you have the necessary privileges for this operation

Any idea?
