cannot copy files to disc after downloading microsoft office to w.

I recently purchased a toshiba notebook which comes with windows xp.
However, I had to download microsoft office. Ever since i done that I cannot
save documents striaght to a cd. I have to save document to desktop, open up
the disk on 'My computer' and then drag the icon. I have been to pc world
and changed laptops, i have restored my system but it makes no difference.
Please help

You should never save a document directly to removable media as document
corruption may occur. You should always save to your hard disk then copy to
the removable media.
