Cannot create Macro in Word v X Mac

When I try to record a macro using an open document in Word vX for Macintosh
I get the message that the macro cannot be created. I cannot open VBA help.
I am running office for mac vX under 10.3.5 and have uninstalled and
reinstalled and repaired the disk. Can anyone suggest a solution please.

Hi KT,

Are you sure you installed the Programmability/VBA tools from the Value Pack
on the Office X CD? If not, be sure to re-run all the updaters for Office X
once you do so. See <http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/Update.htm> (if using
Safari, hit refresh a couple of times).
