I'm teaching XL2007 in the local community college. Several students have
reported difficulty creating a simple pie chart. They have demonstrated the
problem in the lab as follows:
An appropriate non-adjacent range of text and values is selected, then a 3D
pie chosen from Insert Pie options. The result is a blank chart area with
only a legend containing a 1 and a colored box.
The problem happens on machines running Office without SP1. The
instructor's machine, without SP1, cannot replicate the problem.
Is this an issue fixed in SP1, or there something else going on?\
