Cannot delet messages - please help!

Greetings,

The following error message appears when I try to delete
any messages in my Outlook 2000:
"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error.
If the problem persists, restart Outlook."

I cannot move messages to Deleted folder either.

Any suggestions would be of great help. Thank you!
