Cannot delete emails from Archive folder

I have a user on Office XP 2002 and he cannot delete any emails from the
Archive folder opened in his folder list. What might be the cause?

I suggest you re-post in microsoft.public.outlook and/or
microsoft.public.outlook.general - this group is for calendaring problems,
as in the title....
