Cannot delete project workspaces migrated from Project Server 2003

I

Ivor Davies

Every time I try to delete the site using my user ID I receive the “Access
Denied†error which means I don’t have access. If I try to use one of the
Service Accounts that we created for Project Server 2007, I get the same
error message too. I am a local administrator on the Project Server
(MOPS2007) and I am a member of all the WSS admin groups on the server.

I have even tried going into Project Workspaces administration site
(http://mops2007/pwa/_layouts/PWA/Admin/ManageWSS.aspx?PageIndex=1) to delete
the site, but I get the error that the site is member of a site collection
and cannot be deleted. Yet If I remove the URL through the same URL it will
allow me to do so without any error messages. The only thing is that this
leaves the Project Name but no site address (this is not an attractive option
but it would remove the link between the project and the site – but it DOES
NOT delete the site.

Interesting side note – I can easily delete any NEW project workspaces that
were created on the project server (MOPS2007) after the migration.

I cannot however delete any of the project workspaces that were MIGRATED
from project server 2003 (PS2003) – those with _Published in their project
workspace name.

I am making the assumption that because these sites were created in a
different method (via the migration process tool) that they belong to a
different site collection (http://mops2007/sites) where all NEW project
workspaces belong to the site collection – http://mops2007/pwa .

Does anyone know how I can delete an empty project workspace that was
migrated from project server 2003?

Any assistance / guidance / direction would be greatly appreciated...

Thank You.

Ivor
