Cannot download updates for Office from the Office Updates Home P.

I am trying to update my Office XP from the Office Family update site and it
updates to 77% and stops. Anyone know why?

Have you tried to see whether there's still any data traffic (through your
internet connection) at that point, and if the processor is still active? And
the same question for your hard disk. Sometimes for the larger updates, it
takes so much time at a certain point that it just looks as if it's frozen.
