Cannot Edit Background of PPt template

Hi. I downloaded a PowerPoint template (called Crimson Landscape) and I need
to edit the background graphics. Specifically, I need to reduce the
brightness of a portion of the design. I have a powerful graphic editing
program, but I cannot find the template file itself so I can change it.
Please tell me where to find the actual files that make up a template so I
can modify that template. Thanks very much.

MORE INFORMATION from the item's author:
It is actually listed as: crimson_landscape_qx
But I cannot find it anywhere to edit it. And my graphics program cannot
recognize the crimson.pot file. So I would really appreciate help from a
knowledgeable person!

Maybe if you tell us where you downloaded it from (web address) we can take a
look and help you. Otherwise it's pretty difficult.

If you CAN find the .POT file then convert the crimson.pot file to an html
file using the "Save as webpage" function. Then go into the folder that
broke the presentation down to HTML files, and find the background file (do
this is thumbnail mode, it should be a jpg. and there probably will be two
of them. Choose the higher res file). bring that jpg into your editing
program, change it and apply it as your new background.

That's what I would do.

I'm about to try Justin's idea. Thanks so far to all of you who are trying
to help. I'll let everyone know how things progress.

Using Justin's technique (saving as html) I was able to extract the jpg and
edit it. Thank all of your for your fine help. This takes care of the
problem! We can consider this matter closed.
