cannot edit - embedded font

Hello,

I copied a co-workers presentation from a cd onto my
harddrive. when i opened the presentation, i received an
error stating "this presentation cannot be edited because
it contains a read-only embedded font." is there any way
to get around this problem so that i can edit this
presentation?

thank you in advance for any suggestions that you may
have.

Hi,

IMHO, you've struck the most useless feature of PowerPoint 2003.

FONT embedding

You will have to edit it in a previous version and get rid of the offending
font. Also, please send feedback that this is a bit overdone:
