Cannot edit PowerPoint slide show due to error about embedded font

I have a PowerPoint(PP) presentation that may have been created in another
version of PP but now we are trying to run it in PP 2002 SP3. When you open
the file you get "This presentation cannot be edited because it contains a
read-only embedded font". We cannot make any changes to the slideshow. We
have already tried to fix using Microsoft article 827405 but we cannot select
the "Save as" option. Can someone help me fix this issue? thanks already,
