"Cannot empty the clipboard" - ??!

I can't copy query results from Access 2003, because the copy and cut
commands are disabled, and in Excel 2003 when I try to copy something, I get
the message "Cannot empty the clipboard". I imagine the two problems are
related. The Office clipboard is empty. Any suggestions? Thanks!
