Cannot Enter Product Key

I'm having trouble with a relatively new MS Project Server - I implemented it
about 2 months ago, and haven't really begun to use it. I found today that
its home page said Error: Trial Period Expired. This surprised me as I was
given the licensed media and wasn't aware of any Trial periods being
involved.. I found a newsgroup post which indicated that Activating the
software may be required, and had these steps:

Steps to Activate:

Convert a license type and enter the product key

1. In Central Administration, on the top link bar, click Operations.
2. On the Operations page, in the Upgrade and Migration section, click
Convert license type.
3. On the Convert License Type page, in the Enter the Product Key box, type
the new product key.

However, I on this page on my Sharepoint server, and find that I cannot type
any characters into the field!! How do I proceed, to activate/register the
software?

Did you by chance install SP2 as it had a know error with this exact probelm
of expiring trial even though you werent using trail software.

Hi, actually it was 2007 SP1.. are you aware of what the fix was for the SP2
version? Maybe it would also work for SP1..

Eric:

Try this:

From SharePoint Central Administration, select the Operations Tab
Select the link for convert license type
Enter your fully licensed Product Key
Click OK

Let us know if this does the trick. Sometimes this needs to be reapplied.
Can't tell you why, but I see it happen from time to time.

As the other individual specified (and is happening with me as well) what happens if you CAN'T ENTER TEXT into the Product Key field. You can't click into the field, can't type, can't copy/paste, nothing. Is there any resolution? By the way, I have installed Service Pack 2. Thank you.
