Cannot Freeze pane (Top Row)

Whenever I highlight the header, and use freeze pane, excel seems to g
down about 6-7 rows below and freezes all instead of just the top row.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you just want the top row to show, go to cell A2 and
then freeze panes.
