Cannot get anything scanned to come on in any program

All of a sudden, when I scan from my printer, the
document or picture will not go into any file. An error
message comes up saying it cannot do it. All of a sudden
the Microsoft WORD, PROGRAM IS MISSING, I clicked on it
and it said to reinstall it. I don't know how. They said
it was probably deleted. But How, I don't know

An error

Is this since you tried to scan? Or is this an unrelated problem?
