Cannot get to edit an existing WEB

I have had the same problem with both FP2002 and 2003. SOme time after I
accepted the upgarde to XP pro SP2, Frontpage stops working. When trying to
access my WEB, I get the error message:

Documenst in this folder are not available. The folder may have been moved
or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server.

I have had the same problem with 2 different computers after installing SP2.
I have now re-installed XP on both, but let one run without SP2, taht one is
stil OK and I can access the server, so there is no problem on the server
side.

Any suggestions?

How are you "accessing" your web in FP
1) File Open Site, browse to My Network Places and select it or enter the URL as http://wwwyoursite.com
2) View Task Panes then use File Open Site, select your Site or More Sites and browse to My Network Places to select it or enter the
URL as http://wwwyoursite.com
3) File Recent Site and select it
4) In IE browse to your site and using File Edit w/ FP

I access it as I always have for years (pre XP SP2). Open an existing domain
listed in "My Network Places". The problem has now occured under three
installations after having applied SP2, so no more SP2 untill I know what's
going on. Every time I reinstall XP without SP2, it works OK. Fortunately I
have a laptop that runs without XP2.

If I go directly to the page, I can open it for editing, but cannot save to
teh site as I get the same problem.

The first time it happened wasabout 12 days after having installed SP2 on my
desktop, was using a previous version of FP then. This time it happened about
11 days after having applied SP2,now using FP2003.

On my Laptop, it also happened within the 2 weeks of applying SP2.

The first time I got the problem on my Desktop, I could access NOTHING on
the Internett, no web-browsing, no e-mail. Also tried to turn off ALL
firewalls with the same negative result. I will shortly reinstall XP and not
apply SP2 unless I can find a cause of the problem with the current
installation.

When this happened last Friday, I had logged into the site and then suddenly
when going to edit one of the pages, I got the error message. It was just ike
turning a switch.

In Windows Firewall did you add FP as an Exception and the option for Windows to let you know when it firewalls a program?
- I'm running SP2 on several machines and have had no FP problems

As I said, I have totally disengaged windows firewall with the same negative
result. Also disengaged my other firewalls for testing. Same negative result.
Alos find it a little strange taht on three occations, it has happened about
11-14 days after applying SP2. I have installed an extra update for an error
in SP2 that allows me to send e-mail, but that is the only extra update I did.

Just did a rollback (the automatic removal of SP2) and now FrontPage is back
to normal. No other changes were made. So it must be some sort of error in
SP2 (English version of XP) just like I needed to install a fix for sending
mail after having installed SP2. The latter is a known case in SP2 and
mentioned in teh knowledgbase, but cannot find anything about the Frontpage
problem. Took from Sunday 2 weeks ago til last FRiday (12 days) to occur.
