Hi folks,
I have cross-posted this from Excel forum as thought it looked a more
appropriate newsgroup.

We had a problem with Excel 2007 SP2 flickering and blanking out cells until
the user scrolled or minimised or similar. Sometimes it would also crash.
The issues were very similar and in some cases identical to those described
here and in comments:

The issue is reported as resolved in this hotfix:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973932/
but when I try and install it it goes through the full install and returns
Installation of Package Failed with no supporting info as to why. Nothing is
recorded as errored in any of the Event logs either.
Does anyone have any suggestions either on the strange excel issues, or why
that hotfix package won't install?
