Cannot import v.X database into 2008

Processor: Intel

I have just purchased Office 2008 because my old v.X was dying (PPT refused to operate despite re-installation, Entourage crashing daily).
On startup, I asked Entourage to import data from my v.X Main Identity, it didn't. I have now tries several times to import the same data from within Entourage 2008 to no avail.
Is there a fix for this? Thanks

I don't know why they even put import for Entourage X in the import window,
it doesn't work. There was supposed to be a KB out to alert users to use the
"manual" method.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/install/manual_install.html>

Since you didn't mention Entourage X corruption you are at least, ahead of
the game there.

Note. You will still need to have Office X installed. If you have to do a
re-install, this is going to mess up your Office 2008 fonts. I suggest
installing Office 2008 again in this circumstance.

I do recovery of Entourage X database and move the data to Entourage 2008,
if you are unable to do this for yourself, contact me off list for help.
