Cannot install additional office updates via microsoft or office

I have reinstalled office xp twice, and can update it to a point (sp3 and
several updates),
The following kb917347, kb917150,kb018420, kb917153, kb911701 and kb904018
will not install via office or microsoft update
I get a Error Code: 0x80070670 with microsoft update
I have reported this toMicrosoft support and they are completely useless
Can any one help

I did a quick Google (always remember to check there first) and found the
following possible solution:

Check the following keys under the following registry location:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\CodePage

Check the CodePage for 936, 949, 950 - if the string value is empty/missing,
please populate it with:

c_936.nls (like the rest of the values in this section of the registry)
and the other values, respectively, c_949.nls, c_950.nls, etc. etc.


PLEASE NOTE: Anytime you go playing about in the registry, you should back
it up before you do anything! I don't guarantee this fix but it worked for
someone else with the same problem.
