cannot install hotfix

I tried to install the Microsoft hotfix located at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945674 ... but it will not install. I keep
getting a message that says that the exe file "is not a valid Win32
application"
What can I do to install this hotfix?

Download the file again. The one you downloaded is an incomplete file.

im trying to find out if i can remove old hotfix for mor disk space
i have alot from the year 2005
