Cannot install Office 2003!!!

I have recently purchased Office 2003 but I cannot install
it. I continue to get Error 1402. It cannot locate (or
have permission to) files in the registry. So I
ran "regedit" and IMAIL and MSFS, which the installation
program looks for are NOT there? Any way to run Registry
Checker (cannot find ANYTHING about it for XP home).

Hi Josh,

Are you logged in as Administrator/Owner?
If not you may not have the permissions needed
in the registry. The Office 2000 described here
could be similar.

I am having the same problem with two different registry
entries (greyed out when I use registry editor). I think
I need to restore the registery keys, but don't know how.
Good luck, and let me know if you figure it out.
