Hello,

I am trying to connect to brand new server with Project
Pro 2002.

I get that darn "Can't connect. Microsoft Project was
unable to establish connection with the.....invalid
username or passwd, lack of global template, problems
with....may not have enterprise features" message. I have
looked at 70 pages worth of posts, and none have helped.

Here is my scenario:

I can connect properly with the web page.

I have only one locale.

My user has admin/proj manager privs.

I am using http.

Please HELP!!!

Thx!
Martin

Hi,

Hvaing the same problem. In my case I can add following
details:

I can cannect succesfully to Project Server web page from
my computer, integrated authorization works perferct. But
I can't login from MS Project 2002 whether I use my
windows logon name or default Project Server
Administrator account.

If I try to connect from server itself (using IE or MS
Project 2002) server asks for login/password (Suprise! As
I assume integrated authentication should work), and when
I enter username/password I can succesfully login.

Is there a way to get better logging for debugging of what
my situation can be? I don't even know where to start
looking. I have looked at the event logs on the server,
and on the workstation that has Pro installed, and I am
not seeing any errors.

Thx!

OK. After reading and reading and READING. I found my
problem. I actually read the answer to my prblem sveral
time, and I thought that there was no possible way it
could pertain to me.

The language locale was different on my workstation than
what the server is setup to be.

This happend because I was helping an end user with a
different application all together, and I had changed it
to make my machine emulate theirs. I never changed it
back, because it really didnt change the appearance of my
system AT ALL. (Other than preventing me from logging in
with Project Pro).

I think it was one of Gary's post that I first saw the
answer.
