Cannot Open Files

I am using office 2003 and cannot access any of my document files. When I click on the document name it comes up that the file is not available. then when I close word it says the file normal already exists do you want to replace file . What is the problem ? Please Help.

Hi, Kindj. If you are running Norton Antivirus, try disabling the Office Plugin that comes with it. The option is usually in something like Start | Programs | Norton | Options | Miscellaneous.

I disabled office plugin in Norton Antivirus and it did not help. Do I have to restart my computer ?
