cannot open microsoft office

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I cannot open any Microsoft applications since i have upgraded to os x 10.6 and i have a ton of school projects due soon please help??

You don't say enough to help. What is the error message? How are you
trying to open the apps? Is your copy of Office fully up to date?

I have the trail version of Office 2008 for Mac. It's only been in use 5 days and I've had no problems. Now all of a sudden Word will not open, getting -600 error. Excel and other apps open fine.

Help?

I KEEP GETTING THIS MESSAGE EVERY TIME I TRY TO OPEN WORD EXCEL AND POWERPOINT... MY VERSION IS FULLY PAID FOR I BOUGHT IT THE SAME DAY I BOUGHT MY MAC BOOK PRO BACK IN DECEMBER OF 2008 AND EVERY SINCE I UPGRADED TO 10.6 I'VE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM...

That error is not telling me anything (the failure is happening somewhere in
Apple OS X...).

1) Load all the updates available for Apple OS X.

2) Run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions.

3) Run Font Book and Select Duplicates, then Resolve Duplicates.

4) Shut down the system, wait for the power to go off, then restart.

When you restart, "something" will have changed. It may not fix it, but at
least we should get an indication of what the problem is.
