When I try to open Outlook 2002 I receive the following error message:
"Unable to open your default e-mail folder. Could not open item. Try Again."
To resolve the problem, I first tried the Microsoft repair facility. When
that did not help, I then tried uninstalling Outlook and reinstalling it
based on the assumption that an initial installation would not look for
existing folders.
It should be noted that I don't really want to use Outlook for email; for
that I use Outlook Express. I do, however, use the calendar facility and
also need the address book so that I can synch with my PDA.
