cannot open .pst file with password set

Frank

Hi all,

I had created a pst file with password protection in outlook on my old
computer. Everytime I entered Outlook, I will be prompted a password. Now
that I have changed to a new computer and copied that pst file to my new
computer, outlook will still prompt me for a password but it will not
vaildate my password. Has anybody ever encounter this? What can I do to
access my folder?

Appreciate any help, thanks.

There is a handy tool to strip the password of a pst-file. The funny thing
is that this tool wasn't even written for stripping the password of a
pst-file but for upgrading the pst-file to a newer format. Stripping the
password was just a (handy) side effect. Don't use this tool for any illegal
activities!!!

Read the pstread.txt file included in the zip before using the utility!
