Cannot open some word documents

I cannot open some of my word docs. It comes up with access privileges
denied. I am logged in as the administrator and I'm the only one who uses my
computer. I have rebooted in safe mode to take ownership of the docs but
there is no security tab when I open the properties of the file.
Any suggestions on how I can open my files. Thanx

It suggests that some of your documents may be corrupt. Are they all from
the same folder? Have you tried Open & Repair?
