Cannot open the Access 2007 database

I tried to open an Access 2007 program, there is a Microsoft Office Access
message box appeared and said “The expression you entered has a function name
that Microsoft Office Access can’t findâ€, after I click on the OK button,
there is an Action Failed message box, the information on the message box are
Macro name: AutoExec, Condition: True, Action Name: RunCode, Arguments:
LoadDatabase() and Error Number: 2950. After I closed the message box, none
of the form opened. When I clicked on any of the tables or forms, the error
message said “ L:\fileName.mdb is not a valid pathâ€. I tied to open the
Forms on the Design View, and message box said “The Form is linked Form,
whose design can’t be modified. I tried to link the database trough the
linked the table manager, but it did not work. Could someone help for this
problem?
Thanks.

1. Make a copy of the database file now.

2. Next try to open the database while holding down the Shift key. See if
that works. If so look for an Autoexec macro and either delete it or fix what
is wrong with it.

3. If that doesn't work, the database may be corrupt. Try doing a compact
and repair on it. If that doesn't fix it, here are some resources:

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database.

Thanks a lot for your information. I have tried steps 1 and 2, it did not
work.

How can I do the compact and repair?

Thanks!
