Cannot open word files

I get the message that the file is unavailable when I try
to open a word document. I cannot open Excel workbooks
either. This happened after I installed Office XP SP2.

Hi Debra,

This issue is caused by Norton AV. In Norton go to Options and in the
Miscellaneous section turn off "Enable Office Plug-in".
