Cannot print From Word

Don

Okay, I don't know if I'm in the right area, but here goes:
I have Office 2000 installed on a laptop that has Windows
XP as its operating system. I can print from anything I'd
like, except in Word. I keep getting these error
messsages about sending something to Microsoft and then
the application closes. As I said, this only happens
within Word....not Excel, Access, Outlook or anything else.
Does anyone have any clue?

Thanx.

Is the printer driver installed locally?

No, it's a network printer. Every other Office product
prints fine...but not Word. I've even uninstall Word and
re-installed it but it did no good.
Thanks for your response.

That's your problem then. The printer driver must be installed locally. The
printer doesn't have to be physically attached to the computer, but you must
have the driver installed locally. This is important even when you're
connected to the network and vital when you're not.

Interesting. But how does this explain why I can print
from any other Office application (Excel, Access,
PowerPoint, Outlook) but not from Word?

Because they are not so intimately tied to the printer driver.
