cannot receive new e-mails unless I hit the Sent Items folder

Hello:

I'm an XP Pro SP 2/Microsoft Office 2002 user here on a network and no one
else is having this problem except for me.

I can't receive new e-mails unless I click on my Sent Items folder. It's
very strange that I have to click somewhere just to receive e-mails that
someone sends to me.

And, it does not matter if the e-mails come in from the outside world or
internally. The problem is the same.

I ran the Detect and Repair option but it did not fix it.

Again, no one else is having the problem. But, FYI, we are using Microsoft
Exchange 5.5 and I think POP3. (Don't hold me to what I just said about
POP3.)

Please give me any help you can and understand that I'm not too "techy".

Thanks!!!

tbh

Sound like the often-mentioned UDP problem. Turn off your Windows firewall
and see if that helps. Use Google to scan this group for the NUMEROUS times
this question has been asked and answered.
