Cannot reinstall Office 2007 Beta 2 Tech Refresh after uninstall

I recently applied the technichal refresh to Office 2007 Beta 2 on my
computer. I was having issues where after I would save a document it would
not allow me to open in. There would be a popup message saying that the
document was not available. Also, I could not open any documents created in
Office 2003. Since I couldn't open any documents at all, I uninstalled all
the 2007 products that I had on my computer and then tried to reinstall the
applications. In my attempt, I recieved an error message about 1/4 of the way
into the process. It came up as Error 2711. It then would roll back the
process. Is there a way to fix this issue or a workaround of some sort so
that I will be able to reinstall these products?

Error 2711 indicates that you have a mix of Beta versions on your computer that is preventing you from completing the installation. A common missed beta application is Expressions Web Designer. If you have this on your system, uninstall it and then try the Office beta installation again.

In regards to your original problem that you couldn't open any
documents: This is a known issue and Norton AntiVirus is to blame. Check
my website under the heading "File not Found / file not available" for
steps on how to solve this problem.

I will be sure to check that out.

I just tried a repair on windows to see if that helps with the not being
able to reinstall issue. I keep getting the same error message as before. I
checked to make sure that no other beta software is on the mashine, and there
is none. What should I try next?

Get the Windows Install Clean Up utility (google the term) and get rid
of any MSI package that sounds like it belongs to Office 12/2007. Then
try again.
