Cannot remove markup in Office 2003 doc?

Greetings all,

Here is an odd one -

Our office keeps turning Markup on.
It seems to be atached to a specific file.

Even when sent as RTF, when it arrives, it comes with markup.

Not really sure what is going on ...

Any advice?

Hmmm..

I found Tools / Options / Security / Make Hidden Markup visible when opening or saving.

But when we send the file,
it still arrives with Markup shown.

How do we remove the Markup from the document?
