cannot remove office pro 2007 on pc with win xp sp2

Dear all,

I would like to remove ms-office pro 2007 on a computer which has been
infected by viruses (these viruses were removed). OS is win xp pro sp2.

When I go to control panel, select office 2007, select "remove all"
-> I have an hourglass 3 seconds, then nothing more.
I cannot remove it (and it still uses 500 Mb).

Is there a tool to remove it completely?

Thanks for your help,
Alain

This is sniped from another response to a Q on how to completely remove;
--------------------

Open the RTM issues page listed below. You'll find a KB there for the
complete removal of Office 2007 Beta. It works for the released version
too.
Note that the steps don't remove the non-version specific registry keys
in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office and HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office
