Cannot remove watermark in pages

Hi, all.

I'm formatting a long document. There is watermark in the background
*from the third page to the last*. I have checked "Format >> Backgroundselected. But the watermark is still there. What can I do now to remove it?

The watermark was imported when I copy another document (Ctrl-A
selecting) to this one.

I'm using Office 2003.

Problem solved. I found this:

The watermark is a Word Art-object. If you show headers and footers
(View -> Headers and footers) you should be able to select it by
clicking on it and then delete it.

I should have searched for the answer before I started the new thread.
