Recently, I had to reformat my hard drive after a
catastrophic system failure, losing all my programs and
data. I had been using Outlook Express prior to said
failure and hoped to restore my e-mail files and folders
from a backup tape. Using my backup software I restored
everything to its orginal location. When I then opened OE
it would not recognize my old e-mail messages, even though
they were in the very same place as before (under
Windows\Application Data\Identities...). No attempted
importing of these files did any good either. I have
since upgraded to Outlook 2002 and it, of course, does not
recognize my old OE messages either. Does anybody know
how I can get my old messages back?
